Today I am thankful for a word from The Lord.
Do you ever have those moments when a message feels like it is being delivered by The Lord directly to you? This morning at church was like that. I wanted to just sit in our worship center and soak in the words I had just heard (but I had to go get my kids). I wanted to weep. I felt the Lord’s loving presence bringing healing to us His people. To me.
The message was on trust. The guest speaker shared about two big instances in his life when he was a child that planted the lie that God couldn’t be trusted. One was in death and his experience of loss of family members, the other was in provision because he grew up hearing his parents talk about not having enough to pay the bills at times. But he shared how God wants to meet us in the place where we are not trusting God and heal the lie that was sown in us. He shared how many of the symptoms we see in our lives are not the real issue (like control, addictions, anxiety, ect.). The real issue is trust and NOT trusting our Father. He said if we deal with the fact that we don’t trust the Father and live our lives surrendering to the Father, we will see freedom in the symptoms.
He boldly shared that God has a great future for us, our own promise land like Moses and the people, but we must trust Him otherwise we will never enter. Just like Moses.
The message was so powerful and the presence of The Lord was so sweet. I wish I could do the message justice in my short recap. Maybe once the message is uploaded onto our website I will include the link. I highly recommend listening to it!
