Today I am thankful for our friend from India, Arthur Raj.
He is here staying with us for a few nights before he flies out to Chicago. What is blessing my little heart even more is seeing my children interact with him. I’m excited for them to grow up learning to love the world around us and far away from us. I grew up having Arthur come visit my family from the time I was a little girl (he and my dad were in seminary together when I was born and Arthur continues to come to the US every few years since then). It is always inspiring to hear his stories.
He shared how recently there were 4 women in his church who all had alcoholic husbands that caused them to miss a lot of work which accused a lot of strain on these women (in addition to the hardships emotionally living with these men). Well these women decided to commit to praying together every day for their husbands and Arthur would join them whenever he could and in his own prayer time. I am sure there were many others praying from the ministry as well. After days of praying for them, one went to take a drink and when he looked at the drink he saw a picture of his wife crying out in prayer and he couldn’t take the drink. He went home and found his wife exactly in the way he saw. This man’s life was changed because he knew it could not just be coincidence. One by one all four men were changed and completely healed. They have all become active in the church and the church is growing because of their testimonies.
What a great reminder of the power of prayer!
What a powerful testimony Meg!
